Young Chemist’s Clove Bud oil is extracted from clove buds through steam/hydro distillation. Clove bud oil has a spicy, warming scent and a golden to yellow-brown hue. It has a medium, slightly oily consistency, and when used in aromatherapy blends, clove essential oil is considered a middle note.
Blends well with:
Bergamot oil, Ginger oil, Cedar wood oil, Cinnamon bark oil, Patchouli oil, Lemon oil, Lavender oil and chamomile oil
- The use of clove oil is popular for its antimicrobial properties and uses a mild disinfectant. As to make a clove spray, add a few drops of clove oil to the water. Since the essential oils don’t dissolve in water, you have to add a dispersing agent such as soluble to the solution. Shake the bottle well before spraying.
- For diffusion, like the spray application, applying a diffuser helps spread the aroma of clove throughout a room. When diffusing clove oil, be careful to follow the instructions that came with your diffuser.
- You can mainly apply it to the body in ways to get relief from pain, wound, and itching: Massage oils; dilute clove oil in carrier oil, such as jojoba, coconut, or olive oil. Use 15 drops of clove oil to create a solution or you can use it in creams, scrubs, or lotions dilute clove oil in an unscented product, such as a lotion or facial cream.
- Clove bud oil is being used for a variety of reasons, including as an antimicrobial, to help kill bacteria, as a pain reliever for conditions such as toothache and muscle pain.
- Clove bud oil is very effective for digestive upset, to get relief from respiratory conditions like cough and asthma.
- Besides, clove oil and its molecules are effective in preventing dental erosion, which leads to the belief, that clove oil may work in a similar way to fluoride in preventing cavities.
- Pregnant women and children should consult doctor before using essential oils.
- Clove oil can cause skin irritation to some people. Before applying it, take a patch test to check whether it suits you or not.
